Power was restored Monday morning, Oct. 25, to all but four Southern California Edison customers of the nearly 4,000 in Laguna Beach who lost power the evening before, SCE said.
The outage was reported at 8:47 p.m. and impacted 3,972 customers, said Ben Gallagher, a spokesman for SCE.
Four customers were still affected as of 9 a.m. Monday, with power expected to be restored to them by 1 p.m.
The outage affected areas between Laguna Canyon Road to the north, South Coast Highway to the south, Highlands Avenue to the east and Glenneyre Street to the west, Gallagher said.
Equipment problems were the reason for the outage, according to SCE. The city of Laguna Beach, in a statement, was more specific: corroded wires.

Sunday’s outage followed two others in Laguna Beach, one the day before and another last month.
